iNovia Invests in Well.ca

Well.ca logoiNovia Capital has just announced an investment in Canadian e-commerce play, Well.ca. They’re Canada’s largest online healthy and beauty store.

Well.ca and the investors are calling it an “angel round” although the total amount of money invested is $2.3 million dollars. There are other investors involved as well, including: Matt Mullenweg (founder of WordPress), Jeff Fluhr (founder of StubHub) and Jordan Banks and David Ceolin (both of whom had previously invested in Well.ca.) Those are some powerhouse angel investors.

Well.ca is based in Guelph, Ontario and has just opened an office in Toronto.
