The C100 is a primarily Valley-based organization started by Canadians to support Canadian entrepreneurs. They’ve run a number of very successful events in the Valley and in Canada. And now they’re coming to Montreal.
Along with the help of iNovia Capital, Real Ventures and BDC Capital, the C100 is putting together an afternoon event called Accelerate MTL.
Accelerate MTL will bring together investors and successful entrepreneurs from the United States and Canada to talk about how the startup ecosystem is developing in the United States, and how things can grow in Canada. A number of great presenters will be in attendance including Brad Feld (Techstars), Dave McClure (500 Startups) and Howard Lindzon (Stocktwits).
The event starts at 2pm on March 31st (doors open at 1pm). There will be some keynote presentations and panels. One of the panels will include key members of the C100 from Silicon Valley. Details on the event will be coming out soon.
They will also be announcing the winner of the Canadian Technology Accelerator prize, which will send 3 startups to the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California for 3 months. This was a contest organized with CIX.
And the following day there’s a ski trip organized by Accelerate MTL. Looks like they’ll coordinate transportation the night before to Mont Tremblant so skiing will take place early in the morning. The shuttle will head back in the afternoon. You can sign up for Accelerate MTL Ski Day here: http://acceleratemtlski.eventbrite.com/.
