The app can be downloaded for free for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. For other smartphones, tablets and other computers users, an online version is also available for free on its website. Unlike traditional weather apps, SkyMotion takes the guesswork out of then Probability of Precipitation (P.O.P.). Using geolocation, radar observation, motion tracking and other technology borrowed from the computer graphic and video game industry, the application provides highly”localized forecasts by tracking every rain cloud’s movement over the U.S.A and Canada in real”time, automatically creating a new personal forecast every five minutes that is unique to the user’s location.
Additionally, the SkyMotion app can be used year”round as it tracks all types of precipitation such as rain, snow and freezing rain.
