The UX/UI designer will design new applications for health data interpretation. These applications are mostly web or mobile based. We’re talking about Analytics for Body Metrics. She/he will work with web and mobile software developers. The goal is to deliver great products that our clients will use on a regular basis to track their health.

Carré Technologies is a wearable electronics company founded in 2006. Our mission is to to provide real-time feedback and health advice. Our Hexoskin wearable sensors technology was developed in collaboration with clients in work medicine, sports and space medicine. We are a small team of 10 people working in collaboration with designers and research groups.

We’re located near métro Rosemont, 5 minutes walking from the Mile-End or Beaubien, and right by the bike road. Parking is available.

Describe a “day in the life” for this position?
The offices are located on the 3rd floor of a factory newly converted for health technology startups. You chat with colleagues by the espresso machine, looking at the latest Hexoskin prototypes in the workshop. Then you get comfortable at your desk and create awesome products.
How will the new employee’s performance be measured? Define the job’s specific goals.
Design has to fit usability and feature requirements. We favor clean design with deep uses (views permutations/pivots). Users will give the designer regular feedback.

Tasks:
- Define the usability and appearance of the applications.
- Work closely with the developers to implement the design and iterate.
- Use the wearable sensors to test the applications.
- Write/draw documents that will explain new UX/UI concepts to clients.
- A portfolio and references.
