Women 2.0 is an extremely popular conference in Mountain View, California, where people learn from some of the best female innovators in the tech business. There was also a pitch competition in front of 1,000 or so attendees.
Montreal’s own Buyosphere won one of 4 prizes, taking home the “Most Promising Team” prize.
Buyosphere’s journey to-date has been fairly well documented by CEO and co-founder, Tara Hunt. The company has pivoted a couple times, and with their most recent launch (as a Q&A platform for shoppers) they’re seeing positive traction. In early January, 2012 they announced a seed financing round led by Real Ventures.
