seevibesSeevibes is a graduate of FounderFuel. The company’s core team includes Laurent Maisonnave and Francois Beausoleil.

Seevibes is a social media monitoring tool for TV targeted to broadcasters and advertising agencies. There are millions of interactions on social media about TV shows every day, and Seevibes helps capture and interpret that information. Seevibes wants to help its customers enhance engagement around TV, optimize TV programming, build the audience, devise better targeted marketing campaigns and create more memorable advertising experiences.

The ultimate goal is to provide the media and advertising industry with an agreed upon value for the engaged TV audience.

NextMontreal: Where are you now vs. where you started 3 months ago at the beginning of FounderFuel?

Laurent: In addition to having a better developed product and new clients using Seevibes daily, these three months with FounderFuel have allowed us to refine our go-to-market strategy. We’ll start implementing this strategy over the next few weeks.

NextMontreal: Can you share anything about usage so far?

We have 3 broadcasters that are using Seevibes daily. We have paying customers and 14+ companies in the pipeline. We’re pleased with the traction and look forward to sharing more news soon.

NextMontreal: What’s your fundraising situation?

Laurent: We’re looking for a financial partner who will give us the means to develop our team to launch new products and tackle the U.S. market. Beyond the financial aspect, it is important that our investors have experience and contacts in the media and advertising world that we are targeting with Seevibes.

NextMontreal: What was the best part about FounderFuel for you?

Laurent: To kick our ass! Seriously, we enjoyed FounderFuel’s acceleration method around an experienced and accessible team. The association with eight other startups has also been very beneficial. I should add that these are all high-quality teams that can confidently look forward to a prosperous future.

NextMontreal: How panicked was it for you and your team leading up to Demo Day?

Laurent: Demo Day was a beneficial challenge that the Seevibes team met with flying colours. Beyond the milestone aspect of the event, the concentration of our energy allowed us to deliver and effectively present a very accomplished product/market package.

NextMontreal: What are your immediate goals / focus after FounderFuel?

Laurent: We’re keeping our focus on market development and the product that creates the most value. It’s very clear that finding investors will be crucial in accelerating our growth and international development.

NextMontreal: What would you recommend future starts that get into FounderFuel do (in advance) and during the program to maximize the benefit to them?

Laurent: I would recommend that future FounderFuelers challenge themselves by joining the program. The feedback they will receive is invaluable and will give indispensable help in developing their projects.
